A Note From the Founder

I’d like to take a minute to chat about something that’s been on my mind and heart, and about a little change to our release schedule – among other things.

As you likely know, the past couple of years have proven difficult for many small businesses, and MLMH is no stranger to these challenges. Issues that are constantly arising include rapidly rising costs across the board (everything from garments and coffee to shipping boxes and tape), the inability to source or restock some of our favorite items and drinkware, and difficulty forging new partnerships with manufacturers due to unstable inventory – just to name a few. 

We have also been faced with other hurdles such as Apple and Facebook privacy changes that affect our email and social media post reach and have driven the cost of any ads we hope to run up significantly – which limits our ability to be seen by new customers.

Despite all of this, we have continued to do our best to bring you the best products as often as possible and with extremely minimal price increases. 

I am continuing to do my best to keep our prices stable and our inventory high, though in these uncertain times we’ve seen a bit of a leveling off in our sales which makes it harder for us to hold the thousands of pieces of inventory we have been used to holding. 

Because of this, I wanted to let you know that there will be a slight change to our summer hours and our release schedule to help keep our operating costs low. We truly LOVE our storefront space and I will continue to do everything I can to continue to stay in it. It’s become yet another space for us to connect with you, host events, give hugs, and laugh over coffee. It’s such an important piece to what we do here at MLMH and my hope is that we don’t have to change that. Our hours will continue as is through the month of June, we will be closing on June 30th so our team can enjoy the 4th of July holiday with their families and reopening on July 6th with slightly different hours

Beginning on July 6th we will be open:

  • Monday 11-7
  • Wednesday 10-1
  • Saturday 9-2

While I wish that we were adding to our store hours, not subtracting, the reality is that we are doing our best to stay open at this point in time and this is a change that needs to be made to help us do just that.

As for our release schedule, as much as we love releasing new products every Friday, I have made the decision to slow that down a bit until we can clear some more past-season inventory. You may notice that some Fridays become restock weeks, or that we have a small promo on a specific item on Fridays instead of a bigger release. My hope is that by doing this we can bring you a bigger variety of items on release weeks instead of just one or two items each week.

I’m doing my best as a small business owner to be as transparent as possible while navigating these uncertain times, and I want to thank you for your support over the years. Your purchases directly impact our team of moms who live in our community, trickle down to the small businesses we partner with, and so much more. 

I cannot thank you enough for being here, and am certain we have a bright future together as a community – no matter how that looks.
